Ingredients

  • 1 Pie Crust Recipe
  • 5-6 C Mixed Berries
  • ¾ C Granulated Sugar
  • 1 tsp Lemon Zest
  • ½ tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp Ground Nutmeg
  • 3 Tbsp Cornstarch
  • 3 Tbsp All Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 Tbsp Vanilla Bean Paste

Egg Wash

  • 1 egg + 1 Tbsp Water
  • Coarse Sugar

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 F.

  • Wash and dry the berries.
  • Roll out pie crust and place in pie pan.
  • Combine sugar, zest, cinnamon, nutmeg, cornstarch, flour and berries stir to coat berries and combine. Add lemon juice and vanilla and mix.
  • Pour berries mix into pie crust.
  • Roll out the crust for lattice. Cut 8 strips.
  • Arrange lattice strips.
  • Brush lattice and edge with egg wash and sprinkle with coarse sugar.
  • Bake 30 minutes at 400 F. Cover edges, reduce temperature to 350 F and bake for up to 30 more minutes until crust is golden and filling is bubbly.
  • Cool before serving. Store at room temp for 2 days of 4 days refrigerated.
