Ingredients
- 1 Pie Crust Recipe
- 5-6 C Mixed Berries
- ¾ C Granulated Sugar
- 1 tsp Lemon Zest
- ½ tsp Ground Cinnamon
- ¼ tsp Ground Nutmeg
- 3 Tbsp Cornstarch
- 3 Tbsp All Purpose Flour
- 1 tsp Lemon Juice
- 1 Tbsp Vanilla Bean Paste
Egg Wash
- 1 egg + 1 Tbsp Water
- Coarse Sugar
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 F.
- Wash and dry the berries.
- Roll out pie crust and place in pie pan.
- Combine sugar, zest, cinnamon, nutmeg, cornstarch, flour and berries stir to coat berries and combine. Add lemon juice and vanilla and mix.
- Pour berries mix into pie crust.
- Roll out the crust for lattice. Cut 8 strips.
- Arrange lattice strips.
- Brush lattice and edge with egg wash and sprinkle with coarse sugar.
- Bake 30 minutes at 400 F. Cover edges, reduce temperature to 350 F and bake for up to 30 more minutes until crust is golden and filling is bubbly.
- Cool before serving. Store at room temp for 2 days of 4 days refrigerated.
